Remembered the incredibly atmospheric Dante's Inferno for the C64 today (the 2nd adaptation of the 14th-century classic - there was also a TRS-80 text adventure), a game I could hardly understand at the time but one I still loved roaming just for the eerie environments & mood
me: "Let's play sth non-horror-related for a change"
also me: "As a palate cleanser I'll try Power Lords on the Colecovision, a game where you're *checks notes* hounded by a volcano-sized cobra, chased along endlessly curving corridors & stalked across a desolate lunar landscape
Any adventure fans, fluent in French & with a few months to spare translating these gorgeous Amstrad CPC/Atari ST-only early Ubisoft titles for us non-speakers? No? I'll just keep staring at the pretty pictures then.
