I want you to see this animal as detailed by Enid Blyton. It is called a Snoogle and is part dragon, duck, cat.
On the left is simply an elf.

There is a goblin in the title but it is more noteworthy that it features a dragon with the head of a duck.
One of these is Berthold Woltze's The Irritating Gentleman' 1874.
The other is by an unknown illustrator.
Now try and guess which is the Miss Hunters 1902 by John Singer Sargent and which is my faithful copy.
