I thought I'd share "Francis" the Audubon eagle with you this weekend - for Memorial Day. "Francis" had an injured wing before he was "rehabilitated" at the Audubon Center. He was incredibly fun to paint!

So, a friend of mine had this rooster that would come and perch every morning on her kitchen window sill. She asked if I could paint him. Here's my friend Gailyn's "Rudy the Rooster." (Unfortunately, "Rudy" is now deceased😂)

Growing up in the Southwest, my favorite time to be in the desert was after a thunderstorm. I loved the color of the sky & the flora & fauna that sprang to life! The sweet smell of mesquite filled the air & everything looked & felt "new."
