The emptiness of echoing corridors.

No matter how much I fight.
No matter how much I scream.
No matter how much energy I put into the room.

It feels...completely still.
Like death, beneath the water.

This is the memoir of a girl who became something to look at but never hear.

Silenced.

When I asked for help, I was told I should be grateful to have been abducted to America.

I can claim its the time of year causing feelings & memories to come to the surface, but that wouldn't be true.

They're with me every moment, like waves eating at the shore, they erode me.
