Ironically Seeing Stars is the most normal and functional their relationship has ever been.
They bicker. They work together. They make each other laugh. They like each other’s company.
It shows they can be friends, then more.
My second year, I met Ruth, and we were *that* couple, snogging and flirting wherever we went.
I thought: screw it. I’ve earned the right to be gross!
He grew up poor, so he loves the buzz of buying things he’s earned with his own money.
But because he’s proud, he doesn’t like gifts from Stolas, even though you *know* the prince would shower him with presents if he wanted him to.
He doesn’t want to look like a kept man.
Quite possibly, a Sinner came into his office and asked him to kill a human, he turned them away - and then he realised there *was* a way of gaining access to the human world …
Meaning a trip to see a certain prince, kickstarting the story proper.
And unlike other shows, it doesn’t portray Moxxie as a tragic victim but a badass survivor, who’s living his best life with his wonderful wife.
It can and does get better. Your horrible parents don’t define you.
