Not every character needs a super complex backstory to be good,Amy is a girl who was rescued before and decided to grow to be independent.
Also Amy isn't a fangirl since her love is genuine

I don't get why Sega always excludes Amy when she is a main character.
Why we can't have 5 main characters (Shadow, Sonic,Tails, Knuckles and Amy), instead of just pretending that Amy isn't a close Sonic friend and a character that is on the series for ages.
