Watched 'The Visitor' (1979), which was, well... weird. There were a number of artful scenes, but when it came to the story's execution it was less than cohesive. Think 'The Omen' (1976), but more Scientology/Mormon. Has the potential for a remake, in my opinion.

Had a sick day, prompting me to finally watch #ShinGodzilla. The ever-evolving Godzilla concept gave me some vaguely Carpenter's 'The Thing' meets 'Evangelion' vibes. Didn't personally care much for its overall look, but I liked the idea. And the tail ending was ominous.

Rewatching the animated, 1977 Rankin-Bass production of 'The Hobbit' and it should be noted that Thranduil went thru a s-e-r-i-o-u-s glow-up in the later Peter Jackson adaptation, amirite?

Had a double feature for guys' night with the '74 original and the Netflix '22 sequel of #TheTexasChainSawMassacre. Let's get the obvious out of the way. The first was best, of course. But the latest wasn't half bad. Okay, but by no means a travesty.
