Eyes are the most important part of any of my portraits. Here's just a few. I try to capture my subject's character and soul.

Ella is complete, she was an absolute joy to draw. She's 12x17 in size, which allowed me to pack in lots of detail. Faber Castell Polychromos and Caran Dache Luminance pencils on Bristol board Vellum paper.

Making some steady progress with Ella's portrait today, she's slowly emerging from the paper. Black fur always takes a long time to build up the layers. Hope you like her.

Lovely Bezi the Polish Lowland Sheepdog is complete. This double portrait has been a huge one to work on and so enjoyable. A1 in width. I will post the double portrait soon

With great sadness I've just heard that Charlie's owners Amy Knowles had to say goodbye to him yesterday :-( I drew him back in May 2016. Such a wise and intelligent boy, he was so adored and loved by the whole family and will be greatly missed xx
Hope the beautiful certified therapy dog is complete. Drawing a white dog on white paper is always a challenge, but I'm really happy with her finished portrait and so is her owner. I will post up the double portrait soon :-)

On Remembrance day I'd like to share this portrait of lovely Digger wearing her Poppy. I drew her portrait this time last year as a tribute to her. #RemembranceDay2017 #ArmisticeDay #poppy

Ted the Cockapoo was the 1st dog in this large triple portrait. I've now drawn more Cockapoos than any other breed
