The first panorama I ever shot. I chose this arctic nightscape as my scene because why on earth wouldn't I!?
The Milky Way, Andromeda Galaxy, Venus, airglow, Pleiades, Zodiacal light (sunlight scattered by interplanetary dust), aurora and an iridium flare. :)
That ghostly glow.
I'm the astro photographer who's afraid of the dark.
Every single time I'm out there alone in the dark, with a view like this, there's a battle going on in me.
Do I stay and allow myself to enjoy it or do I run for my life from the danger I just made up.
The aurora should be giving us quite the show this weekend!
A G3 geomagnetic storm is expected if everything lines up, with aurora visible farther south than normal.
I'll name them the ghostly green and blood red Halloween aurorae of 2021, before anyone else does!
Cloudy here 🤬
It's suddenly 25°C up here again, which naturally makes this northern soul long for dark nights when ice crystals fill the air. When a blanket of snow mutes all sounds and the sky erupts with electric lights.
It's #EarthDay
This gorgeous rocky ball is the only space ship we've got and if we keep screwing it up we have nowhere else to go. (no, not even Mars)
So let's take care of it.
Merry Christmas everyone!
Here in Sweden we celebrate tomorrow with the Christmas Dinner and gifts.
A few photos taken near the entrance to @SSCSpaceSverige Esrange Space Center outside of Kiruna. Our pride and joy.
Looking at it, it feels like once upon a time in a galaxy far far away.
But it was me, here in Kiruna.
I shot this "selfie" a few seasons ago, hopefully I'll be back out there soon. This was a test shot before changing into a dress for a pic
Nothing but clouds here lately anyway.
Happy #WorldPhotographyDay 📸
Photography is therapy, keep snapping away and feel free to share your pics here. :)
