Hey, a thought.
If I ever, somehow, were to publish a book with photographs and some type of text, would anyone be interested in it?
One autumn night, one minute apart in opposite directions. One of the most amazing auroral displays I've seen.
Can you see why I long for autumn? 💜💚
The night I spent all by my lonesome in this SkyNest was amazing. It was freezing cold, well below - 30°C.
I find myself longing for those nights in this heat we're having now.
That desperation you feel when it's so cold it just hurts and the relief when you manage to warm up.
One of those magical autumn nights. 😍
These were shot on the same night but in two different villages and half an hour apart.
I like the first one because it looks so fake due to me lighting up the bushes with a flashlight. :)
Seven years ago when I was beginning to learn this stuff, I shot these.
These four (seriously flawed) shots cover 14 minutes in time.
Splitting the sky in two, darkness and light.
The third one looked like a portal in the sky, never seen a corona like that since.
The aurora season is pretty much over up here now.
You can still see it but not as spectacularly as when the sky is pitch black.
Time for daylight 24/7 starting next month!
But no worries, there will be another fall.
Photography has been my therapy for many years now. The pictures don't always turn out perfect but that's rarely the point, it's all about the joy of making them. 💚

Winter night in a village far away from city lights. Jupiter and the Beehive Cluster centered. The moon was rising behind the little hill, giving the sky a pink glow.
Then there's the aurora of course, my favorite type of light pollution 😄
