I’m already a Sherlock fan, but this series is turning out even better than I expected. The Moriarty-Sherlock mind games are entertaining, but the critique of the British class system and the research the authors have done hits y hard for me as a Brit.

Uramichi is the millennial icon we need, especially this year of all years. Easily my comedy manga highlight of the year, and with the amazing seiyuu cast the anime may be even better!

Based on a popular LN series that was basically one of the first, and reputedly one of the best, of the current Isekai trend - though not one that I’ve read. Still, the reason I’m interested in this show is the absolutely gorgeous animation

SK∞

The new show from Free! and BF director Utsumi, and from legendary studio Bones - definitely looks like the visuals, soundtrack and overall feel of the show will deliver, but whether I stick with it depends on if show has anything interesting to say with its characters.

Idoly Pride

*Another* original Idol anime for this season, though this one is playing the premise a bit more straight than Gekidol. Seems to be a relatively straightforward drama about becoming an Idol, but Lerche is making the visuals pop

David Production is back with a… volleyball light novel adaptation? Its not quite clear what the hook on this one is, but its looking solid enough for what it is.

So I’m A Spider, So What?

Don’t write this off as just another Isekai - this is a really unique story, in general not just among Isekai, with one of the best and most likeable protagonists in the genre, loads of plot twists, and a range of genres and perspectives.
