Artists & writers have been inspired by the moon over centuries. Vincent Van Gogh, Starry Nights, Paul Nash, Landscape Of The Vernal Equinox III
David Inshaw captures the moon's glow perfectly. My painting below 'A Glimmering Moon' inspired by a John Masefield poem #MoonLanding50
A wonderful hillfort in Wiltshire. Oldbury Castle. A bronze age enclosure that had been extended and then developed into a hill fort. The views from here are stunning and the chalk undulations below the earthworks & monument are a treat for artists to paint. #HillfortsWednesday
Thrilled to be part of The Creative Ridgeway Forum next Saturday 29th June at St Dunstan's church, Monks Risborough, Buckinghamshire. I'll be talking about how the Ridgeway & its landscape has inspired my work & that of other artists, writers and poets. https://t.co/aNci6OwHlH
Interesting piece in @guardian by Helen Gørrill which asks the question
Are female artists worth collecting? @tate https://t.co/XWHGVL6jiW. One of my favorite artists is Wilhelmina Barns-Graham. This painting is magical. Title: Glacier Crystal, Grindelwald & painted in 1950.
We enjoyed our talk last night at @SalisburyMuseum for their Ancient Landscapes show so much. A great venue & fantastic support. Big Thanks.
