Instead of a monthly log of art, I picked my top 5 works from this year! I got a lot better with digital painting and working with colors, and I'm super happy about it. 2021 better get ready for me!

Art block? Start painting a bulb of garlic

It's hard to see, but Pheung is reclining on a Thai triangle cushion. I had a lot of fun with this illustration! While I can't say it's perfect, this was a really good art exercise.

Here we have a bowl of papaya salad next to some jeow bong and a basket of sticky rice. Jeow bong is a Lao dipping sauce that's made with chilis and can get really spicy, so of course it's right in front of Phueng, the firebending master.

I have hair long enough to tie up now. Also finally went to therapy.

And rounding up this Team Avatar are the siblings Cua and Tooj from the outer ring of Ba Sing Se. Cua is a non bender, but very skilled with archery. Tooj is an earthbender who's very experimental with his power. Their designs are inspired by Hmong culture!

Here's Pheung, a former Ember Island dancer who becomes Jiaying's firebending master and mother figure. Her design is based a lot off Thai dancing.

Now we have Lien, a master swamp bender! She's pretty laid back, but is excited to be on a journey with the Avatar.

Back on the train of rebooting old characters, this is Miko! She's a 14 year old vampire assassin with porcelain prosthetic legs!
