@LocalPlantNerd I’m sorry, Amy. It’s hard to stay positive right now. I don’t think I’m doing great at it. But having little things to look forward to helps, like seeing my plants grow every day or watching a new episode of my fave show. Here for you friend.
And another congrats to @LauraJonesEco and @edmundotogo from @penn_state and @SACNASPennState on their @NSFGRFP awards! Our chapter is SO PROUD OF YOU and all your wonderful work! @sacnas
Coming back from break should mean feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
I didn't feel that way this time.
Decided to write a bit about how I've been feeling. Hoping this will help someone that may be feeling that same way. #MentalHealth #AcademicChatter

Hi all! An evening #mysterymagnification for ya. Today’s is a little different than usual, still with a phone microscope. Good luck guessing! #scientista #scienceneedsnofilter
Another #mysterymagnification from the road! Can you guess what today’s item is? #scientista #scienceneedsnofilter
You know you like your research when you’re having an absolute SHIT week with zero motivation and writing down your results motivates you to crank that manuscript out.
Is this how it’s supposed to work???
Happy Friday, #mysterymagnification followers! Leaving Florida tomorrow and trying to soak up as much family time as possible! ☀️🏝♥️. Perhaps today’s item may be too easy, but let’s see! #scientista #scienceneedsnofilter
@SavvyOlogy Oooooooof I became lactose intolerant a few months ago. Can’t even do this anymore
We also asked the kids to draw what they think a #scientist looks like. Here’s an example of one student drawing a fashionista scientist in the beginning and a scientist using a microscope at the end (note they are both women!). Hell yeah, that’s why we do this!
