My favorite thing about Meilus is that he reflects the viking era of Lithuanian culture. While Scandinavians did attack our coast, there’s also evidence of them coexisting with local tribes, as well as having an overall influence on the country
Vintage covers of Lithuanian (versions of) books my beloved... the font is so nostalgic
just a Mantė postcard of sorts. In my universe kaukai are pretty mischievous when they want to be, sometimes even mimicking velniai to give someone a scare. Don’t make her get her actual velnias cosplay out
Congrats to @shpedya, who donated 300 hryvni to Bright Kids Charity!
also headshots for ppl who donated to charities that didn’t have anything to do with children/I personally wouldn’t donate to, because I feel they still deserve something

Lectures start tomorrow, but before my summer ends I needed to draw Carpathian edition Meilus just ONE more time.. he would definitely be a trapper
I guess this is participating? A messy thumbnail for a painting I have wanted to do for a while now, this pallete really helped me put down the basics super quickly, thank you!! https://t.co/WMyqfT7uCw
Might delete later but here are mine with Aiva and Pasha lol

Continuing my outfit practice, this time with Pasha. They’re wearing a more modern version of traditional clothing of Aukštaitija (Highlands), an etnographic region in the Northeast of Lithuania, the only one to still retain a nuometas (wimple) for married women
a comprehensive thread on Aitvaras🇱🇹/Pukē🇱🇻, an ancient Baltic deity of the skies

“Where’s the art, Vilte??” In the lineart stage, and I AM going to die soon if it doesn’t end (the smaller character in the second pic belongs to @BigChudovysko)
