Station (now Pasture) Road, Moreton, Wirral, c1910. Most of the buildings on the right are still there.

Egremont Promenade, Wallasey, Wirral - possibly 1930s. The clock tower in middle distance belongs to the Mariners' Home - now gone.

@Coops2910 This map shows South Seacombe Recreation Ground in St Paul's Road, which is where I remember it being, and is where that photo was taken. The site was used by the tunnel contractors c1970 and probably not returned to its previous use, explaining why some don't recall it!
