You would rather think pink, if anything is possible.

For Tokyo's second hosting of the Paralympics, they had the graceful Someity, a figure with pink-checkered patterns inspired by cherry blossoms and also the Games' official emblem.

🇺🇸 DAN D. LION

At the time when the games came to New York in 1984 (held just a month before that year's Summer Olympics, but in Los Angeles), Dan D. Lion roared into action. Designed by art teacher Maryanne McGrath Higgins, Dan appears to wear running shoes and jogging clothes.

Additionally, they symbolize the water, air and earth respectively. Their colours correspond to those of the Games emblem, and all three are typical examples of Australian fauna.

He even had his own TV cartoon, being entitled "The Cobi Troupe".

In that said series, Cobi resides in a fictionalized depiction of Tibidabo's Fabra Observatory, alongside Petra (the Paralympic mascot), Jordi, Olivia, Cachas, Nosi, and a cat named Bicho.

Reactions to Cobi were mixed when he was first presented to the public, but he grew in popularity during the months leading up to the Games, and ultimately proved a huge success.
