Her last moments are rather human, a childish fear of being hated by her sister after she is gone. Notice the markings are gone and her eyes turned her original pink again. Its not up to debate that Azu was a total monster but she had some humanity left in her in regards to Rau.
same as with the sunflower, the memory of Rau playing in the field appears several times before
I actually think I really nailed the blind dying eyes there!
the random sunflower on Azu's death vision is not as random as you'd think, it appears in several flashbacks of her childhood.
