Spent yesterday making a Kapi tutorial. Quickly realized because of how many interactions he has, there were too many ways for the player to fight against the tutorial. Decided to write an in-game manual instead. Much simpler. #capybara #gamedev #indiegame

It wasn't intentional, but I recently realized that Marisa and Kapi fit almost every major trope for a Magical Girl anime protagonist + companion. No secret identity though. Marisa will make sure you know who she is and remind you several times. #gameart #indiegame #capybara

@9fingergames Marisa has a cool sword! And somehow she can throw a capybara several feet through the air! But she is very tiny. How does that stack up?

Important note to Marisa: The 5'0", 90lb girl who just got a sword two hours ago cannot 1v1 the 7 foot tall, bodybuilding necromancer.

Ari wants to be a treasure hunter too! But Marisa's first rule of treasure hunting is that you need to look cool doing it, so she had to give Ari a little fashion help.

This was tough because there were 3 or 4 major ones, but like 20 minor ones, so 6 was an awkward number! #gamedev #indiegame

The city of Arkanya got a couple more tiers to it recently. Conveying a city built on the side of a hill in the top-down perspective has certainly been a challenge. You might guess by the grass and dirt that we're on the edge of the city!
