My favorite (and perhaps one of the toughest) part of illustration is the work that goes into each piece
I like finding my way around a character before drawing them for the first time, which means there's even more drawing behind the final piece everyone sees!
Starting off 2020 with finishing up a character ref! Finally settled on something for Tori's dragon form.
Happy New Year !! I wasn't able to say it immediately because I was celebrating with some good friends in VR.
It's been a hell of a year and VERY difficult, but I'm so happy to have met the people I did this year, and stuck with some new things. Here's hoping for 2021 !
Ending 2020 on a comfort zone note!
Began with Amu on my new tablet, and ended it with Amu
More Sapphire Weapon, right as 2020 ends, with no chance of seeing it in the FFVII Remake anytime soon? It's more likely than you think!
This was also my year of design references. I like the idea of 'field note' style references a ton because you can show so many angles, and it feels like it could've been in someone's notebook at one point. Of course, all dragons so far!
2020 really was a year of getting outside of my comfort zone. While I still don't love painting as much as I love drawing with lines, I still branched out a few times. Maybe I'll work more with this in the future !
