He did it again! Another masterpiece from Max in yr11. His self portrait captures an incredible likeness and sense of self. The brush work feels more mature and the disruptions now feel part of the work rather than ‘bolted on’. Very well done Max 👏🏼

Here’s more Yr12 portraits in progress. For many it’s their first oil painting, working alongside the students we’ve demonstrated live priming boards, blocking in, working from dark to light, using glazes and dry brush techniques. We’ve also developed allegory linked to protest🎨
