I decided to start with the bigger shadow gradients, on a normal layer using the same color as the linework.
First, I made a rough "shading test" layer to plan out how I want things to look.
I have my flat colors figured out.
The shading is where it gets tricky, especially in brighter scenes like this. I might make a thread here to show my process.

Sorry I haven't posted anything over the past few days. I'm turning the character name reveal into a slightly bigger project than I originally planned. Hopefully I can show a sneak peak or two tomorrow :)
