Feeling 🍂 autumnal with a bevvy of beautiful pumpkins 🎃 & squash from @kitchen_kh. These were drawn with oil pastels to develop skills in colour blending, contour and 3D form with our 4th formers- lovely examples from Iona, Sophia & Henry! @ShrewsburySch

Watercolour studies of exotic tropical dragonfruit (or pitaya @ShrewsburySpan) from @kitchen_kh - focusing on layering washes to create volume & form. All completed in just 1hr 20mins. Great work by Charlotte, Henry, Kara & all of set 4BAR! @ShrewsburySch

Some wonderful 🐷 paintings completed in just one double lesson (1hr 20) focusing on layering, brushstrokes, contour and chiaroscuro. Excellent results by all our L6, but these ones by Mia, Harriet, Eleanor and Ki-Din have really blown us away with their confident paint-handling!

Ruby (art scholar, U6 @MshGirls) has worked so hard over the two year course to develop and refine her painting practice in oils. Her hard work has really paid off as she’s going straight on to study for a BA in Painting at Camberwell College of Arts, UAL, London next year!

We’re thrilled for Giorgia (U6, @EmmaDarwinHall) as she has just been awarded a full scholarship for the undergraduate fashion course at Polimoda in Florence. How glamorous & exciting!!! Oh and here’s a sneaky peak of her glorious work in our fabulous forthcoming final show!

@ShrewsSchool art faculty are now delivering live online taught portraiture sessions on Thursday PM as part of Creative Arts activity- all welcome! Our first session worked with model Freya creating continuous line drawings and tonal studies using a range of media @Drawinglives
