...it is possible to generate a high-intensity gravitational shockwave.

This technique is intended to help make up for the shortcomings introduced by Zamaς' genetic anomalies.

It may have been, ever so slightly overkill, after factoring in his other traits.

Ok, very overkill.

By focusing energy at the tip of a tendril, and flinging it in the general direction of a target...

Zamaς' caretaker redesigned his tendrils to make them more useful, extruding spines from the plates underneath his skin and splitting the tips into 3 lashes.

He redirected most of the nerve endings to these tips, making them both extremely sensitive.. and extremely dangerous.
