Progress on retopologising this lovely lady, who still remains nameless. The harshest parts are pretty much done, mostly it's connecting the edgeloops now. Just a lot of squares to draw.
Onwards to a bit more interesting tasks for today.
Comfort work doing scales on this lovely lady's face. I am relatively pleased with it so far. Trying some new things and trying to make the more uniform parts as interesting as possible.
So, uhm... my hot glue gun caused two power outages. Means I can't/won't continue work on this guy until further notice. This, for the record, sucks.
But I updated the concept sketch and I really like how evil bird-like the eye turned out.
This cold has kept me from getting stuff done, but I am THIS close to finally finishing the retopology of Ichthyovenator laosensis. I might even be able to cut him apart for printing today! Fingers crossed guys/gals/nbpals!
I have nothing productive to share at the moment, so have a non-fish from last year (Ichthyosaurus communis with very speculative insulation blubber around the cranial area to protect le brain). Chonk.
None of these details will ever be seen again once I'm finished. I cry.
Also I have a cold and couldn't get stuff done today and I'm just frustrated. Good night.
Apparently I ceratops'd.
A quick idea for a colour concept quickly turned into... this. Centrosaurus apertus with a _ridiculously_ enormous horn and a pattern inspired and directly stolen off of the Hercules beetle relative Dynastes tityus (which is the best Dynastes). Yellow 💛
Oh, #AnkylosaurWeek you say?? Have some of my babies. Ankylosaurus magniventris, Pinacosaurus grangeri, Zuul crurivastator and, of course, my baby Struthiosaurus austriacus. Very ankylosaurid heavy it seems, hm. https://t.co/JB90Sfhf0i
Getting some more detailing work done on this guy. Somehow he looks like a gentle giant... is that just me?
Last time of me posting Francesco before rigging and animating, but apparently he is a favourite of y'alls so far? I don't mind, sauropods are great. And this guy is absolutely MASSIVE. I really can't wait to begin bringing him to life in motion!
