Day 11: Lambda's price is her locket, given to her by her human parents, and her voice, so that she cannot explain to them who she is. He adds in a caveat- that in order for the magic to be permanent, she must be loved, heart and soul, by one who would share their life with her.

Day 10: Lambda delights that his once-emotionless enemy would be so vulnerable to the ties of her past life.

"You would stoop to ask for *my* help?"

"I can still kill you if I wanted to. So, will you help me, or not?"

"You would not be prepared for my price."

"Try me."

Day 9: Protos Heis finds Lambda hiding in a cave, recovering from their last battle. Instead of capturing him for Queen Emeraude, however, the memories and emotions of her past life with her family prompt her to ask:

"Can you make me human?"

Day 8: Queen Emeraude tells Protos Heis that as a child, she was killed in a storm caused by sea creatures, and revived by Emeraude as a mermaid. As someone who lost her own husband specifically to Lambda, Emeraude reminds her of her mission, as it would bring peace to the sea.

Day 7: After saving the fisherman, Asbel, Protos Heis finds herself drawn to the human. He's kind and warm to the mermaid, and tells her stories of life on land and sea. Then one day, he sings her a lullaby he used to sing for his daughter, and she realizes- he's her father.

Day 6: In the wreckage, Protos Heis catches sight of the boat's sailor. Something about him gives her pause, a familiar inkling, and something beats in her chest. In her hesitation, Lambda takes his chance to escape .

Day 5: Lambda hears the sound of something, above the waves. As a last ditch attempt, he attacks the fishing boat. The falling debris catches Protos Heis off-guard, interrupting her attack.

Day 4: Protos Heis has been hunting Lambda to bring him back to the Fodran Core, where Emeraude rules, but Lambda has been fighting and escaping her for years. Finally, she has him cornered, and has an upper hand in their game of cat and mouse.
