Born in Amsterdam in 1918, Yoma was a professional dancer, choreographer and sculptor. Sasburgh toured with Joos Ballet and the ENSA, before touring extensively as an independent dancer, collaborating with Edward Clifton Parker, Eleanor Farjeon, and Bernard Miles, among others
