13.After losing her parents, Leilani was adopted by Gym Leader Sabi and eventually got her own little sister in the form of Totora. She appreciates them as her true family and will always protect them from whatever may happen.

7. Regarding that scientist friend of hers, Leilani has always had difficulty expressing herself to others, mostly being aloof. However, she is currently sorting out herself as she is having trouble dealing with the crush she has on him.
