NGC 2736 . the Pencil Nebula is part of the huge Vela supernova remnant, located in the southern constellation Vela. This image was captured in HOO using a Celestron Edge HD 9.25 telescope and ASI 294MM Pro astronomy camera. 25 hours of integration time #astrophotography #vela
My Edge HD 800 has been busy! #Astrophotography
First big project of the year is finished. This image of the Vela supernova remnant was captured with the @TeleskopService 61EDPH II & ASI2600MC pro, with an Optolong L-eXtreme filter. 240 X 300 sec (20 hours integration time). #Astrophotography
My four best galaxy captures - NGC 6744, NGC 4945, M 83 and Centaurus A. All captured with the @Celestron Edge HD 800 and @zwoasi 294MM Pro & 1600MM Pro. #Astrophotography
November - a quiet month apart from the drama on the other side of the pond! There weren’t too many clear nights, but enough to capture the Helix & Horsehead Nebulae in HOO. Also named my new observatory “SilverTree” #astrophotography
Happy Christmas everyone! Hope you all have a peaceful, happy and healthy New Year ahead.....Eta Carinae captured over the last few nights with the RASA 8, ASI 294MC Pro & L-eNhanse filter - 240 X 30 sec at gain 125 ✨🎄#Astrophotography #ItsAWonderfulLife #Christmas
July - a string of long winter clear nights gave me a chance to complete some big Nebula projects (Lagoon & Trifid, War & Peace in several palettes and the Prawn up close and wide). Plans for a home observatory were also drawn up #Astrophotography
June - “Fate should down you, just get up and take another cuff;
You may bank on it that there is no philosophy like bluff,
And grin.” Robert William Service.
June was the month of big nebulae and staying positive..... #Astrophotography #PositiveVibes
So I ended up doing three Hubble Palette versions of the Rosette nebula. I can’t decided which one I like the best, but Boris (featured in my last post) took a fancy to the more greenie-blue version. Which one do you like? - https://t.co/pcKLjOcbz5 #Astrophotography
The Rosette Nebula captured in HaRGB. See https://t.co/pdiWSr6LoA for details #Astrophotography
