I always saw Dagger talking with a Scottish accent while Dirk's more of an American Southerner. My lack of acquaintance with Scottish talk though, I'm pretty sure is butchered here. I'm so sorry

In some latin countries we say "El Dia del amor y amistad" which means "The day of love and friendship". So it doesnt have to be just romantic; whether its your beloved or someone you care about or even your best friend we should all remember to express how much we love them
