#TMNT tattoo design I was commissioned to draw by a friend a few years back

cover concepts. one more minimalist, one more elaborate.

yup, dropping saturation by 20% and increasing luminosity by makes these pieces a lot easier on the eyes.

I'm pretty comfortable calling these pages done at this point.

got a couple concepts for the cover started, so that's my project for the rest of the week.

@GeekDadChris this piece needed a unifying element, and after a while I found a technique for clouds I was happy with

got the elementals all inked and colored. Gotta work through details with @geekdadchris still, but good progress.

@GeekDadChris it took longer than i thought it might, but I was able to figure out the issue of bringing out Astaroth's outlines against the background.

then it took a while to render treasure that looks like *treasure* even though I'm not using gold tones, but I think we got there.

@GeekDadChris More than one person has asked if Astaroth was fucking his wolf steed in the previous image, so I re-rendered him last night to make it read better.

I think the background for this one is going to be a big ol' mountain of treasure, but that's not for sure yet.
