If there one trope I never get tired seeing in media, it's the one where friends and foes put their differences aside (even if briefly) to deal with a much bigger threat.
Not always "power of friendship" since the antagonists may go back to their own status quo at the end.
And for the record, I don't mean to belittle them (I regret using the word "braindead"...); sometimes they just don't happen to be as smart as the main characters, are naive, or they're just really good at other things. That said, here's some more.
I want to dedicate this post to all those loveable braindead idiots whom, despite lacking the brains, make up for it with heart and soul and GUTS.
