Lex’s occupation back in the human world is a doctor (im thinking as a neurologist). This is why he’s always calm and gentle, he cares for his patients a lot and taking care of others became a way for him to forget his own problems (or trauma).

Also @lextradyne’s idea is that Asmo blames Aertha for Lex’s corruption while Satan blames Lex’s for Aertha, they want to bring change but they couldn’t do anything as they were conflicted.
