it’s time once again to think about whisperlikes and all they’ve done for us

ways my singing monsters lies to you: this fella’s called dragong when those are clearly cymbals

the eternal cylinder looks like the full creature stage spore spiritual successor I’ve always dreamed of

and then there’s that weird phase where they were bears with eagle heads instead of owls

an interesting design change I think is how the owlbear went from a vague fuzzy monster with a beak you could see someone describe as “like a cross between an owl and a bear” to a literal bear/owl hybrid

everything about this creature (the wyvernling from don’t starve) makes me feel like I’m losing my dang mind.
