#GingerPlantOfTheWeek is one of the most common ginger species in New Guinea, Meistera aculeata (formerly Amomum aculeatum), so far, the only representative of the genus east of Wallace’s Line. The genus Meistera was reinstated in 2018 by De Boer & al. in TAXON 67(1): 6–36.
#GingerPlantOfTheWeek is a species of Riedelia flowering this month @TheBotanics, collected by @RBGE_Science staff George Argent, Sadie Barber, Andrew Ensoll & Louise Galloway (last two in photo) with Prof. Charlie Heatubun in Papua in 2009 and likely new. https://t.co/YVNnhEqnfo
