@Klunk279 Yes, the princess is "played" by Sapphire from Princess Knight, which was a series about a princess who was born with 2 hearts, a girl's and a boy's.
@Exalted_Speed At first, I was like oh boy evil cult is after are heroes, but then the situation surrounding cult began to look more "real world politics" inspired. Elvon followers started to sport more "Middle Eastern attire" and I don't think I need to explain what Mike Baron was doing here.
@Exalted_Speed But then, the comic slowly started to morph that cult into something different. First we see this cultist who tries to kill two of our main characters and eventually blows himself while spouting "Elvon is Great".
@Exalted_Speed On a related Mike Baron note, a few years ago I was reading his other series Nexus and was quite enjoying it until I reached the Two Nexus arc. There was this cult called the Church of Elvon, who at first appeared like the typical evil cult you find in media
@bclaymoore More of a mainstream hit in the UK and other European markets but not as well known in markets like the US, especially since they're more of side stories to the main novel series.
By the time we got to the ending, I felt a surge of emotion that stayed with me even after I finished reading. Not only did the book reignite my appreciation for the character but it got me to go back and read other Superman stories throughout the years.
@Exalted_Speed While Superman would preferable try to come across as apolitical, as Clark Kent, the closest thing spectrum I could put him in would as a Centrist (or at least Centre-Left).
