40. You learn this fairly early on in the book, so I'm not sure if it counts as a spoiler, but the black scar on Iori's chest basically serves as a Void inkwell. He can draw ink out of it at will. It'll also bleed uncontrollable ink like his right eye under certain circumstances.

15. Circ used to be his own unique entity. One of a kind. In the revival of the project, he gained a twin (Cass/Cassi, inspired by Cassiopeia). As it happens, the sound of their names combined works like a callback to Circ's original full name (Circus). 👌

3 (part II). RIP Hidaki—Ellen's first crush who got yeeted early on in the revival. Ellen no longer has any crushes prior to Iori.

Also RIP Hein twins who were meant to be part of the central cast but got relegated to supports (students) that aren't introduced until book #2.

2. The Spade + Heart concept has been around for a while. The original idea was that these two powers were counterparts. Two halves of a whole (hence the art with the Spade/Heart stitched together).

While that's not true anymore, they do still share a kind of importance.♠️♥️
