OTD, 22 October, 1985 was the rollout ceremony of the Embraer AMX ground attack aircraft. Jointly developed by Brazil and Italy the modernized version of the AMX still fly in the Brazilian Air Force. Italy plans to retire its AMX this year and replace them with the F-35.

The IPT-15 “Besouro” (Beetle) could have been the first Brazilian jet in 1957. Designed to carry 2 pulse-jets engines or the Palas turbine. The airframe was tested in a unpowered towed flight. The project was canceled when the pulse-jet engine project was abandoned. @IPTSP
