It #CatDay2020 So sorry about what they have done to this Raeburn but couldn't resist
Tattersalls sales by Robert Bevan. With a sketch squared up showing how the artist worked. It is either that or Bevan squaring up for social distancing measures. Good luck for the sales tomorrow. @Tattersalls1766 #horseracing
Fencing by Thomas Rowlandson 1788 alongside Fencing by Colin Firth 1995. Interesting to see how sports are depicted through time. Enjoying watching #PrideandPrejudice again @ColinFirth_ @bbcarts @BBCiPlayer #fencing
Marking the #warartists on #VEDay75 with their depictions of #warandpeace continuing with Henry Moore. He was not really inspired by sport but a drawing of the Artists feet on Holiday shows him in a peaceful place. #art #holidays
Next in our celebration of #VEDay is Duncan Grant war artist Bathers and Study for The gunnery lesson.#warandpeace
Celebration of war artists in #warandpeace continues with Edward Ardizzone. On the move with the 300th and Henley Regatta. @river_rowing #VEDay2020
To mark the run up to #VEDay2020. I am showing Artists work from the official war art commissions alongside their #sportingart from times of peace. Starting with David Bomberg An Evening in the City of London 1944 and prewar Racehorses 1912 @BenUriGallery @BM_AG
Cotton Deeks of Stansfield after Sartorius from our Collection. Just so happens this is the temporary location of the office as I work from home.
