6 is the most divisive game from what I can see. I haven't played it myself yet but I know the main thing is the C-Virus outbreaks and that's why there're so many giant mutants and large scale destruction in that game. Again, evolution of science in Resident Evil creates monsters

This is the same for RE5, except in that game you're dealing with the more powerful plaga and the new Uraboros virus.

For these reasons the games become a little less survival horror and more action horror. Plus the types of enemies you fight are no longer zombies or giant mutant men. The BOWS in this game are intelligent and in full control of their mutations. Exceptions being Gigante and U3.

Now RE4-RE6, the action horror games. I'll never understand why people think RE4 is the greatest thing ever but also think 5's action elements were too much lol. We fight a mutant commando with a knife in RE4 and there's a giant robot and a laser hall section.
