Charlton Comics!
Charltons showed up regularly on the spinner rack in the corner drugstore where I bought comics back in the Bronze Age. But I rarely if ever purchased Charltons. I am not sure why as these covers would’ve interested me.
Why didn’t Charltons capture my dimes?
From Jack Cole’s Eel O’Brian antics to Saturday mornings, Plastic Man has had a long career!
Do you recall Dr. Syn, Alias the Scarecrow? Or perhaps you knew the movie as The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh?
Patrick McGoohan as the titular hero! A masked protagonist and rebel battling King George III’s tyranny!
More Squadron Supreme splash pages!
The John Beatty and Sam De La Rosa inks on the series were really great!
The 12 issue run (1985-86) was at the end of the Bronze Age, but the title is one of my favorites of the era. Prolific writer Mark Gruenwald’s finest work.
Saturday morning! Small but mighty!
Inch High Private Eye!
Atom Ant!
Mighty Mouse!
Bamm-Bamm!
My gateway of sorts to the Atom, Ant-Man, Yellowjacket, the Wasp, Micronauts, and more!
Faces!
All on sale at the same time, staring at you from the store shelf on October 13, 1992!
Here’s looking at you, kid!
Super-humans’ best friends!
A little love for the pets and animals in the comic book universes!
