Mantis!

The timing of my collecting had a gap that coincided with Mantis in the Avengers. It was years later that I read key Mantis appearances. Because of that she was less of an Avenger to me.

For those who adore Mantis, what was her best moment, issue, arc, appearance?

Do you have a favorite issue or arc from Avengers Volume 3?

Although not published during the Bronze Age (this volume ran from 1998 - 2004), it definitely had a Bronze Age feel. Supported by Busiek’s stories & Perez’s art, it could’ve fit into my favorite comic era!

Who is your favorite purple-clad hero or heroine? 1 of these or another?

The primary colored costumes seemed to initially define heroes, and secondary colors were used for villains. As costumes evolved (and some characters changed their criminal ways) purple became fashionable!

What is your controversial Marvel character or storyline opinion?

Mine is that the FF should be super-villains. Their origin starts with the theft of a rocket to support selfish goals. Monstrous transformations reflect villain creations. They were not punished for their crime.
