Founder of revolutionary women's group Malayang Kilusan ng Bagong Kababaihan (MAKIBAKA), Lorena Barros was a student-activist during the First Quarter Storm.

MAKIBAKA rapidly grew, especially in factories manned by women workers and in all-girls' schools.

ESPIRIDIONA "NONAY" BONIFACIO

Among the first female members of Katipunan, Nonay safekept weapons of the revolutionary cadres. She famously concealed guns & bullets with cutlery & kitchenware.

Nonay was also a spymistress, rooting out Spanish intelligence during the revolution.
