A little late, but happy birthday to the Super Mario series! My feelings on Mario are complicated, but I'll still celebrate the anniversary. I love the world of Mario and I'm always happy to explore it and think way too hard about it.

Hey, what do you know? In between working I was overcome with the urge to redesign a few more frogs from Pond Heroes! These were on the list of ones I didn't use for my reboot, but I realized there was still potential with them. Enjoy!

[2011 vs 2020]

WOW! Thank you all for the love for this old concept! I put together a list of all the other frogs who didn't end up making it back for this reboot. However, I've been thinking of some of these that I probably will redesign eventually.

I've even recreated a logo/key art for the game in a style reminiscent of the original! Orignally, the project was titled Majin Pond (a play on Imagine Pond). But I decided Pond Heroes fit the new direction idea a bit better.

Two more! Each tree is an example of an evolution for each egg color (minus Gold Eggs, of course.) Part of the fun for collecting frogs is seeing what their final form will become, as well as the unique traits they possess!

As stated above, each frog now has a LEGEND form they can attain when the chips are down! Here's a look at the evolution for some frog species on their own. Every frog has a unique Hero look and a whole unique Legend Form to themselves!

I tried to create this game when I was much younger, as I've always been obsessed with making my own Monster Collection game. You can see below how the originals look, versus their modern incarnations!
