Mizutsune's transparent scales refract light into many bright colors. Older scales that have been polished over time can be very valuable. Its fur is normally stiff but it'll become soft when soaked in bubblefoam. Darker-colored fur is more foam-absorbent than light-colored fur.

Many people are drawn to this beautiful leviathan despite the danger that it can pose to them. Mizutsune is like a living work of art that can't be compared to anything else in the world. Even its bubbles can be seen as a work of art.

All of the Mizutsune we encounter in-game (MHGen, MHGU, MHRise, MHRS) are male.

Male = Large fins, more vibrant colors, and mostly solitary.

People should especially be wary of encountering them during the mating season. Male Mizutsune become more aggressive during the mating season, and they'll attack just about anything they encounter. This aggression is increased during the Rampage.

Compared to other leviathans, it is said that Mizutsune has an almost mystical appearance due to it evolving quite uniquely. To many, including the Guild, Mizutsune looks like a bizarre mixture between a white fox, a red snake, and a blooming flower.

Zinogre's blue-green shell stores electricity and acts as a protective insulator. The shining white fur on Zinogre's body remains charged, even after the monster is slain. It is said that the shockers grant a thunder god's power to gear. https://t.co/LWnnUgnewf

Zinogre has ocher-colored shelling, known as shockers, lining most parts of its body. These shockers contain conductive lipids that produce static electricity and said electricity is stored in the fur that adorns Zinogre's body.
