Shellycoat is a type of Brownie from Anglo-Scottish Borders folklore, that inhabits rivers and other water bodies. It's name, from the coat of shells it wears. It's relatively harmless unless humans trespass on it's territory

In the  of the Anglo Scottish Borders, the "Broon Man of the Moors and Mountains" is solitary dwarf who serves as the guardian of wild animals. His dress is the colour of winter bracken and he sports red frizzled hair.

Druid Animal Lore - A wildcat dwells in The Otherworld. Called ‘Little Cat’, it guards a vast treasure. For a any would-be thief, Little Cat transforms into a flaming arrow, reducing said thief to ashes 🔥

A 'hob-thross' lived in Millom Castle. He slept by the fire during the day, and worked all night, doing the chores the humans didn’t want to do. One harsh winter he was offered clothes, a terrible insult to a hob-thross, so he left.

"derived from a circumstance which happened about 200 years ago, almost too ridiculous to be credited, an ancient possessor being said to have slain a noxious, cockatrice”

Renwick in 1733, a Cockatrice took up residence in the ruined church. John Tallantine killed the creature using rowan tree branch, although some believe it can still be seen flying around the church at night.

In Cumbrian dialect, 'wiggen-tree' is the rowan tree. Plant a rowan tree in your garden to ward off evil influence, and provide a home for benevolent faeries.
