Naturally, I was delighted when I heard five-year-old granddaughter, Chloe, come into the room and start a sentence with...“I really love you.”
And I was, understandably, gutted when I heard the sentence being completed..“I really love unicorns.”

I instructed my border collie, Flash, to “sit and stay” but he just cocked his leg and weed in my wellie - to a rapturous round of applause.
