The total amount of moths (on one night) in the suburb garden of journalist Tine Hens. 10% of the species represent 90% of the volume... Common species matter!
Brussels, Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences (100 m from the European Parliament in the center of the city), at yesterdays record breaking hot night: 50 moth species (260 individuals, only 3 of them were Geometridae!)
560 moths (128 species) in ONE TRAP in the small suburban garden of a Belgian politician. This weekend was a SUPER moth weekend!
