Out of the four streamers I've watched play Origami King none of them have recognized Bone Goombas and half of them have assumed they were created specifically for that game and jokes about "ohhhh Tanabe won't like this!!!"

These guys especially need to be part of the main Mario canon

Unless Tanabe has, like, a specific list of Mario characters and enemies that are "off-limits", there's no reason why these guys wouldn't be allowed, right?

And even then, those rules sound like they should still allow the devs to do more than the director is letting them do

The Paper Mario devs clearly want to get more wild with their character and enemy designs and I'm 100% sure Miyamoto would be okay with it
