Just re-sharing the little gnome/tomten paintings I've done so far. I'm hoping I can keep working on them through the holiday season.

First few painted gnomes/tomten.

It's so dang tough to get scans I like when I paint. But part of this is to just get the whole thing done and not stress the process.

I might mess around with my color palette a bit, depending on the setting, but I really like that red :)

I'm posting this edit. How did y'all let me get away with such a egregious mistake. Shame on all of us, but me most of all. That's what I get for working so fast, trying to "fit in" a drawing instead of taking my time and enjoying myself :)

Happy Anniversary, you crazy kids. I can't imagine my life without you.

I'm slammed lately and it's been tough to keep my mental health in check. A big part of that is Calvin and Hobbes. I hope to someday pass along even a fraction of the joy you've given me.

Another old piece I'm thinking of putting up for sale. I actually painted this one during breaks while I was teaching a summer camp. One of the parents saw it and asked, "so, everything going alright this camp?" Hahaha!

Going through old art. Gonna put some up for sale, and store/toss others. It's weird thinking of pricing for older art. It's like putting a cheaper "for sale" tag on a piece of my soul just because it's older. But, it's not doing anything of value sitting in my portfolio.

Wife and I talking about plans, dreams, projects and stuff we want to fill our life and days. "You need to do something with your trolls and fae creature ideas. I love your trolls."

Been dreaming of painting more trolls and other fae. This is why we're together. She gets me.

@tchaddhanna is an amazing cartoonist. When he posts a picture, I have both the strong desire to get out my inking tools and pack them away forever.
